CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture and operates on a subscription basis, fostering a cooperative relationship between farmer and member. The idea is a simple one: customers purchase annual or seasonal shares of the farm's product(s) rather than buying single items at retail prices.
CSA shares bring the freshest farm product to you while ensuring that all our product is sold, a win/ win marketing model. Customers pay in advance, providing Stonewall Acres with a budget and production goals. In return, we work hard year round to bring you wholesome, naturally grown products at their peak of freshness and perfection.
You can download the 2012 Green Form for Chicken shares or the 2012 Red Form for Turkey share in pdf format to fill out and send in either by mail or email.
Current members will be given priority through March 1st, those on our waiting list through March 18th. If all membership openings are not filled at that point, we will open memberships until they all fill. Even though the form says April 1st, we will continue taking memberships until they are all filled. Memberships will be prorated as to the first pickup date utilized. Turkey shares will be taken until May 26th, after that, it is on a first come first serve basis in November based on availability.
Stonewall Acres offers to you a chance to find out what chicken REALLY tastes like. Look to the column at the right to see what is offered in each share. As is the case with any farming venture, things can change, we might change the breeds, and we will come as close as possible to the weights given.
In accordance with State & Federal laws, all the animals in this share are sold to you live. Butchering and further processing is provided free of charge as a service to our shareholders. Beyond that, all product will be available wrapped and ready for your oven or freezer.
A meat share is different than the traditional CSA where you are potentially at risk of not receiving product at all. The only factor at all is the ability of local predators to massively outsmart Squid, which is highly unlikely. We will deliver, it's just at times, the schedule might change slightly due to lifes happenings.
Membership numbers are limited to ensure quality and quantity for our CSA community.

No, unfortunately we cannot deliver off farm. Stonewall Acres is a very small CSA committed to forging local food networks through on-farm pick ups only. Plus the fact that we don't have and can't afford a refrigerated truck for delivery purposes. If we are too far away from you, we encourage you to find a local farm in your area through Local Harvest or Farm Fresh Atlas of SE Wisconsin that is not.
Yes, of course you can visit! Stonewall Acres is open to all its CSA members, and we will keep you updated on member events. Visit the Contact Us page for our open house hours and directions.
